Christy Moore & High Hopes Choir Release Single

christy and choir

High Hopes Choir By RTE

I saw this programme on Irish TV during Christmas. For the public, it put a human perspective on homelessness and each person had their own sad tale of real life living rough and addiction. It was amazing to see the confidence each one of them got from joining the choir. It gave them back some respect and life purpose. Christy Moore was also touched by their story and their music and he wanted to support them. So he said he would release a single with them. He did and it was amazing. This TV project was a real success. It changed their lives for the better. The public were better educated to the plight of homelessness. Their music touched souls and broke down barriers. Michael D Higgins invited them to  Áras an Uachtaráin for a concert, the ultimate approval by the President of Ireland. On the day they sang beautifully and impressed all. Great things can be achieved when we believe in ourselves and communities come together. There is always hope.
