hit & run press

Since 1974, hit & run press has been publishing small editions of poetry books and broadsides. The publisher selects poems he believes are worthy of publication, often with the input of local San Francisco Bay Area poets. Poets may submit up to five unsolicited poems for consideration by the publisher. In 2014, hit & run press launched a broadside contest in honor of William Dickey, who taught at San Francisco State University. An outside judge selects the contest winner. In 2014 this was Tony Hoagland. The 2015 contest judge is Forrest Gander……………….
