Copac National, Academic and Specialist Library Catalogue

Great for university and IT college students to locate book and journal details…whats in print!

I will have so much research done with my niece for first science I think I should register for First Science exams …a mature student! 😉 Who knew my duty as god mother would entail being a study buddy but its an enjoyable job for a beautiful girl. She really studies and is averaging a 1H. I hope all her hard work pays off. Isn’t it great the new generation are so much more with it than us. Years ago she won with her friends the Young Scientist group award and UCC wrote to her and invited her for a private tour of their labs. She accepted and was hooked on science, like her mum. She has her masters title picked already…brilliant!!! Universities are so modern now. She does all her research at home and informs me that taking notes long hand is so old fashioned!!!  The lecturers put all their lecture notes and assignment details on their white board online, accessed through the college website. They can logon to UCC catalogue from home via the Internet. She checks her UCC emails and whiteboard drinking a cuppa in bed!!! Classroom  handouts etc are photographed on her iPhone or iPad, it saves her waiting for the photocopier!!!!

For her for science and technical books we like to do a quick online book research on Copac:
