My name is Kori and I’m a shopaholic. I’ve got this holiday bug that makes me feel the incessant need to celebrate hard and spoil the hell out of everyone this year.
Flashback to Christmas 2011 in an attempt to justify my overspending and annoying superabundance of holiday spirit – I was so sick, in nauseating pain. There was this maddening ache from my ribs down to the my toes that was just short of unbearable. I begged my rheumatologist during our very first appointment to give me something, anything to ease the discomfort. I left that day with a script in hand for Tramadol (a narcotic-like pain reliever for moderate to severe chronic pain) and Prednisone (the devil drug), and a lab slip for blood work on Christmas Eve.
